TEST ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities:

The purpose of this role is to secure the uptime on all test and repair systems used by the company.

The tasks to be carried out by the Test support engineer include the following: 

·       Trouble shoot and recover faulty test and repair systems. 

·       Provide preventive maintenance and upgrades for test and repair system according to the test/repair system manuals.

·       Analyze product upgrading/changing information to determine the impact on the production when it comes to test and repair equipment.

·       Introduce and perform training of internal staff when it comes to test and repair methods.

·       Analyze changes to the test and repair instructions provided by the customers in order to implement it in the operation.

·       Monitor and improve test and repair system performance and initiate root cause when needed.

·       Escalate complex and critical test and repair issues to external test system support organizations in order to get advice and assistance when the issues cannot be resolved using in-house resources.

·       Participate in new product introduction and improvement project teams.

·       Analyze ongoing test and repair operation with the goal to continuously improve related to the productivity.

·       Release and maintain test equipment maintenance instructions, and conduct related training and certify if required for test operators and test technicians.

·       Determine the requirement of spare parts for new test and repair systems.

·       Validate incoming shipments of test and repair equipment, tools and spare parts.  

·       Calibrate equipment and systems when this is supposed to be done by in-house staffs alternatively train operational staff to perform the calibration.

·       Analyze calibration certificates provided by calibration suppliers and monitor calibration suppliers’ performance.

·       Define calibration interval of instruments according to customer and instrument manufacturer advice.

·       Ensure that usage of spare parts is reported to accounting by updating spare parts files for test and repair equipment.

·       Support within the IT area and systems maintenance.

·       Perform other duties within the areas test, repair, admin and IT when required.

 

What you need to get the job done:

·       University degree or diploma in electronics engineering or more than 1 -3 three years’ experience from Test support.

·       Good understanding of hardware functional test theory and international standards

·       Good knowledge of RF measurement and instruments’ operation.

·       Good at risk/issue analysis.

·       Good English in Listening, Oral, Read and Writing.
